Following an impressive 4th-place finish at UFA 2026 in Paris, Avatar State Gaming’s ScytheLDN continued his outstanding international form with another Top 4 finish at EVO 2026 in Nice, France.
Competing in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game on PlayStation 5, ScytheLDN delivered one of his most dominant opening performances, progressing through six consecutive matches without dropping a single game.
With another appearance in the final stages of a major international competition, the ASG representative continued to demonstrate his consistency among the strongest players in the competitive Avatar Legends scene.
Six Matches. Six Victories. Zero Games Dropped.
ScytheLDN arrived at EVO looking to build upon the momentum gained from his performance at UFA in Paris.
Beginning his campaign in Round 1, he immediately established himself as one of the players to watch.
His opening opponent, +FORWARD, was unable to stop the ASG representative, with ScytheLDN securing a convincing 3-0 victory.
From there, the momentum continued.
ScytheLDN defeated ICT Vink 3-0 in the Winners Quarter-Finals before delivering another commanding performance against Cesulion, claiming a further 3-0 victory.
In the Winners Final, he faced Justin, who had progressed through the opposite side of the bracket following victories over Tiwote and ScaniaFGC Alfred.
ScytheLDN maintained his impressive form, securing yet another 3-0 victory to progress into Round 2.
His next challenge came against Kaka, but the result remained the same.
Another 3-0 victory saw ScytheLDN advance into the Top 24, where he faced K7 Showoff.
Despite the competition narrowing, ScytheLDN delivered his sixth consecutive 3-0 victory, booking his place in the Top 8.
Six matches. Six victories. Eighteen games won. Zero games dropped.
It was an exceptional opening run that placed ScytheLDN firmly among the tournament’s strongest competitors.
Top 8: A Clash With Raymond Buller
Having progressed through the earlier rounds without conceding a single game, ScytheLDN entered the Top 8 on the Winners Side of the bracket.
His next opponent was Raymond Buller, who had also enjoyed an impressive tournament.
Raymond had progressed through the Top 24 following a 3-1 victory over Zane, setting up an exciting Winners Semi-Final encounter.
For ScytheLDN, the match represented an opportunity to progress into the Winners Final and move one step closer to the championship.
Unfortunately, Raymond proved to be the first player capable of stopping his unbeaten run.
Securing a 3-0 victory, Raymond sent ScytheLDN into the Losers Bracket, where every subsequent match would carry the threat of elimination.
After six dominant victories, ScytheLDN now faced his biggest test of the tournament.
Responding to Defeat
ScytheLDN’s next challenge came against RDE dawn in the Losers Quarter-Finals.
RDE dawn had progressed through the lower bracket following a 3-1 victory over Datrex and was looking to continue his own tournament run.
With elimination on the line, ScytheLDN demonstrated his resilience.
The ASG representative returned to winning form, securing a 3-1 victory over RDE dawn to keep his championship ambitions alive.
The result guaranteed ScytheLDN another Top 4 finish, matching the achievement he had secured at UFA 2026 in Paris.
His next opponent would be Zane, who had fought through the Losers Bracket with victories over K7 Showoff and LS99 Dai.
With a place in the Losers Final at stake, both competitors were determined to continue their tournament campaigns.
Unfortunately, Zane proved too strong on this occasion, securing a 3-0 victory and bringing ScytheLDN’s impressive EVO run to an end.
Despite the defeat, ScytheLDN finished 4th overall, securing another significant international result for Avatar State Gaming.
EVO 2026: Final Standings
The tournament concluded with EDEN Pepe Uehara claiming the championship following a 3-1 victory over Raymond Buller in the Grand Final.
Pepe Uehara had previously defeated Raymond 3-2 in the Winners Final, completing an impressive championship run.
The final Top 4 standings were:
🥇 1st Place: EDEN Pepe Uehara
🥈 2nd Place: Raymond Buller
🥉 3rd Place: Zane
🏅 4th Place: ASG ScytheLDN
Congratulations to EDEN Pepe Uehara on becoming the EVO 2026 champion.
From Paris to Nice: Two International Top 4 Finishes
For Avatar State Gaming, ScytheLDN’s performance at EVO represents more than another strong tournament result.
Having secured 4th place at UFA 2026 in Paris, he travelled to Nice and repeated that achievement against another competitive field.
Across the two international tournaments, ScytheLDN achieved:
- 4th Place – UFA 2026, Paris (PC)
- 4th Place – EVO 2026, Nice (PS5)
- 12 match victories across both tournaments
- 10 victories without dropping a single game
- Two Top 8 appearances, both resulting in Top 4 finishes
These results demonstrate the consistency ScytheLDN continues to develop as a competitive player.
Following his championship victory at VSFighting XIV earlier in the year, the ASG representative has continued to compete at major events, challenging himself against strong international opposition.
While neither UFA nor EVO ended with another championship trophy, consecutive Top 4 finishes across two international tournaments represent an important achievement.
For ASG Esports, these performances provide further encouragement as we continue working towards building a competitive organisation capable of challenging at the highest level.
Building Towards the Next Championship
ScytheLDN’s performances in Paris and Nice highlight both his individual ability and the potential for continued success.
As Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game continues to develop its competitive scene, consistency at major tournaments will become increasingly important.
ScytheLDN has already demonstrated that he can win championships, and his recent performances show that he can continue to compete among the strongest players internationally.
The next challenge will be turning these deep tournament runs into another championship victory.
For Avatar State Gaming, our ambition remains unchanged: to support talented competitors, represent our community internationally and continue building towards greater achievements.
Everyone at ASG Esports is proud of ScytheLDN’s performances and looks forward to seeing him return to competition.
Two international tournaments. Two Top 4 finishes. One goal: becoming champion.
The pursuit of greatness continues.
